About us
In 2008 the Baur Family pulled up stakes and moved from Oregon to the Caribbean. Four years later they were on the move again, this time to New Orleans. This blog follows their adventures on their peripatetic lifestyle. We are: John "Ol' Chumbucket" Baur, Tori "Mad Sally" Baur, kids Kate, Millie and Max. For more info, visit our Web site, www.talklikeapirate.com. John "Ol' Chumbucket" Baur is one of the co-founders of International Talk Like a Pirate Day. He, his partner in piracy, Mark Cap'n Slappy" Summers, and his wife Tori "Mad Sally" Baur, have appeared on national television, performed around the country, and just generally made public nuisances of themselves, as good pirates should.
